Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Ladson, Walterboro, West Ashley
Job Description: Position serves as a liaison between practitioners (clinical staff), physicians, and the financial services of Charleston Brace Company, LLC. Positions available in the Ladson, Walterboro, and West Ashley locations.
*Process referrals received via practitioner.
*Verify benefits with insurance carriers to obtain coverage information for items prescribed.
*Calculate a patient’s deductible and co-insurance, when applicable.
*Enter patient demographics, insurance information, work order, prescription, notes and scan documents into Futura (software).
*Ensure that the patient’s chart is in compliance to be sent to billing.
*Answer daily telephone calls from practitioners/patients: (Calls regarding patient balances/payments, patient appointments, and paperwork deliveries).
*Follow up on pending authorizations (anything over 5 days old) and on custom deliveries.
*Be a team player with a positive attitude and exhibit confidence working in a team and individual setting.
*Excellent customer service and people skills is a must, be happy and bubbly
*Great verbal communication
*Ability to understand and meet patient and physician needs
* Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail is a must
*Computer savvy is a plus
*Data entry and general math skills
Title: CPed Practitioner
Location: All locations
Job Description: Provide patient management and quality delivery of services and procedures to client/patients in need of prosthetic care. Functions include evaluation, consultations with physicians, therapists, patients, etc., prescription recommendations, design, fabrication, fitting, patient/client training and patient records. Marketing the firm’s professional services through the development of strong professional relationships with physicians, therapists, patients and other referral sources.
*To deliver quality lower extremity orthotics and professional services in relation to patient care.
*Develop a referral and client base that will profitably contribute to the practice’s capabilities to better serve patients/clients, referral sources and employees.
*Maintenance of all patient charts and records of care and service.
*Provide complete and accurate direction and guidance to technicians responsible for fabrication of lower extremity orthotics to his/her patients.
*Post-delivery service and adjustments for assigned patients.
*Training of technicians, apprentices, and/or other practitioners as appropriate.
*Maintain neat, clean, and orderly workspaces and common areas used during work or breaks.
*Professionalism in conduct, appearance, and communication.
Technical: Does actual fabrication as may be needed to assure quality, fit function, timely delivery, or responsiveness to individual patient needs. Fabrication may include: Cast pouring and modification; bench alignment; quality checks on materials, required procedures and completed work.
Education: Individual must be certified by ABC or BOC. As per requirements of individual credentialing body.
Continuing Education: Maintained according to requirements of credentialing body. Achieving maintaining professional knowledge and technical skills required to perform all other primary responsibilities. This specifically includes current “state of the art” knowledge, procedures, components, and materials including application based on diagnosis.
